Regulations in force as of July 1, 2022: The absence of retro-reflective stickers on motorcycle helmets leads to the helmet being non-homologated. In other words, without these devices, you risk a fourth-class fine, i.e., a fixed fine of 135 euros (reduced to 90 €, increased to 375 €) and a deduction of 3 points from your driving license.
Although law enforcement rarely issues tickets for the absence of reflective stickers, a change in road safety guidelines can always occur. Not applying these stickers means taking the risk of unnecessarily losing three points in the event of an inspection.
